It is not suggested to do that as you break a great lot of things.
But, changing your sources.list entry for gusty packages and doing an
apt-get dist-upgrade is a crude way of updating from 7.04 to 7.10.

If you want the latest packages, you can get it from the projects main
web site, either .debs if available or build from source.

Gusty has almost reached stability now and there is only some minor
bug fixes happening. You can very well upgrade yourself to gusty
without any fear.
