[ubuntu-in] googleearth crashes ubuntu 7.04

Hi

Recently upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04

added some non free repositories via the automatix2 process.

The system is a t60 and the kernal is 2.6.20-16-generic

Installed googleearth

The installation seemed to go well till i tried the googleearth
application - it logs the machine out and brings it back to login (in a
blink of an eye)

Uninstalled Googleearth and reinstalled via automatix2 and via apt-get -
but the results are the same,

am not sure if this is a google earth bug or machine specific. Because
google earth works on another laptop that i upgraded to 7.04

looking for advice and suggestions
