[ubuntu-in] ubuntu installation problem

Hi All,

Iam currenty using ubuntu 5.10 which is not supported any more. I thought of
upgrading to the latest version and downloaded ubuntu 7.04 iso image. Later
on i burnt this image on to a CD and started to install. This is a
live/installation CD. I was not able to install since this live/installation
CD will get stuck before even booting completely. This is a very slow
process.

Is there any way by which i can dierctly start installng ubuntu instead of
booting it and then double clicking on "install"?

It would be great if anyone can help me through this problem.
