[ubuntu-in] Suggestions needed please

If you are a Desktop Lover, you wont like those lightweight FluxBox or
ICEWM etc. SO, it would be better you try XFCE4 (the mighty mouse).
Also, watch those services which you really don't need.
If you installed Mysql, Apache and other FTPd, you can stop or set it
not automatically satrt on system start, it consumes a lot memory (like
apache prefork-mpm always sets 10 instances, so consuming some memory),
mysql also extended its memory footprint with adding more features. So
better start the services when you need.
Openoffice is huge, takes a lot memory and processor, so i wont recommed
you this if you want something light for your little work. Try Abiword
You may try to tweak your system, but there it means a lot risk.
