Hello All,
I am Anand Karve a.k.a. Curves. I am a B.E. (Civ), belong to the Pune
and work for the Govt of India. I have been using Ubuntu since the Hoary
Hedgehog release, switched over from Suse and stuck to it.I want to
propagate OSS and especially Ubuntu in my organisation.
I came across the Indian Team on Launchpad and from there the
www.ubuntu-in.org while googling for a way out to enable my Bluetooth
Dongle (BlueSoleil) and GPRS (Airtel) connection on Dapper. Since I do
not have 'in depth' knowledge on Linux, following the How To (on
www.ubuntu-in.org) I have managed to get a Bluetooth icon next to the
clock, in the system tray. I am working on the rest and will keep
troubling you guys on the list for guidance. Actually I have some exams
lined up this week and once they are over on Sat, I will work hard to
get the net functionally on the system. Then I can finally achieve what
I always wanted, a Linux operated Laptop, with everything working. This
is the first question I am always asked, when I try and preach Ubuntu to
others. Till then I am stuck with the dual booting and Windoze!
That's it for now.
Regards to All,
Curves
