You need to use the alternate CD for that which uses the older command
line installer. You can't get that CD from shipit since we provide only
the desktop CD via the system.
You have to either download it yourself from
http://ubuntu-releases.cs.umn.edu/6.06/ubuntu-6.06.1-alternate-i386.iso
or you can ask a friend of yours.
