Did you burn the iso image to CD as a file or as CD image using a CD burner 
software?  ISO is an image and cannot be burned as a file and it has to be 
burned using a software. www.ubuntu.com has somewhere link to a free CD 
burning software.

You can order CDs on the website itself as well.
