I am afraid that site is rather outdated, and does a poor job with
Oriya, for example. Baishampayan has already pointed out problems
with Bengali.

I apologize for my choice of words. It can be quite frustrating to try
to solve these problems, and it did seem like you were trying various
things without a systematic plan. Having too many fonts might actually
be more of a problem, as depending on how they were installed, you
might be seeing the effects of a font that only partially supports
Malayalam. Let us try to do things in order, and see if we can fix the
problem. I am replying separately to your other message.
