[ubuntu-in] Bot attack on ubuntu-in.org

Hi friends,

Recently Ubuntu-IN website was attacked by some bot which created a
wiki user and inserted some online gaming links in pages.

The second of the two attacks was major with many HOWTO pages, user
pages and wiki help pages being infected.

I have blocked both false users, cleaned up pages and protected them.

You might face problems while editing some of the pages since they are
protected. We plan to update the mediawiki installation and install
some extension to enable use of captcha (some sort of challenge
response scheme. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha). Please
bare with us till then.

NOTE: Currently the false users are blocked by user id. If anyone
knows how to determine IP from which a particular edit happened then
let us know. It will help us block IP as to avoid further attacks.
