Hi,

The annual ILUG-Delhi event, Freedel, is back in it's 2006 avatar.
Partnering with Jawaharlal Nehru University, this year we have the
following streams:

- - Servers and Administration
- - Desktop Applications
- - Education
- - Multi-lingual and Localisation
- - Applications (from web to desktop to server)
- - Multi-media and graphics

The event will be held on September 16 and 17, 2006 at the
Bio-Informatics Centre and Auditorium, Jawaharlal Nehru University,
New Delhi. The talk formats will be:

- - 40-minute seminar-style presentations with 10 minutes for Q&A
- - 1/2-day in-depth tutorials on basic FOSS topics
- - Informal talks in the lawns (or the lab if infrastructure is needed)
- - BoF sessions

You are invited to present a paper in any of the streams that
interests you. The process for paper submission and acceptance is:

1. Submit an one-page abstract of your talk. Mention special
infrastructure that you will require for your talk.

2. A ``select group'' (i.e. the usual gang of suspects) reviews your
abstract and shortlists it.

3. You are notified that your paper has been selected.

4. Submit the presentation material for the paper (in OOo Impress or
PDF format).

5. Make the presentation at the event.

If you are interested, please make a one-page abstract of your talk
and mail it to:

  talks at linux-delhi.org

The last date for submission of abstracts is

  August 28, 2006

The short list will be announced on

  September 4, 2006

The last date for acceptance of the presentation material is

  September 11, 2006

Please note that abstracts received after August 28 will not be
considered for talks. Similarly, talks for which presentation
material has not reached by September 11 will be knocked off the
schedule.

All presentation material must be available for redistribution under a
FLOSS-type license.

Members of LUGs across the country are invited to participate and
present at the event. If you act soon, we would be glad to share the
cost of your travel to/from Delhi, finances permitting.

Regards,
