ok firstly daft question why are you installing something so old?
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases It's not even supported any more.
Asking here is fine it's the Ubuntu list, you could also try asking in
#ubuntu on freenode which is set up for questions like this, if it's a
server issue #ubuntu-server or dropping into #ubuntu-desktop which deals
with that area the developers are on those channels and should be able to
help you further.
