Hi all,

This is a quick update for those of you based in the West and not
following the identi.ca, twitter or facebook @ubuntuie feeds.

The first venue for the Oneiric Ocelot UGJ in Ireland has been
confirmed.

The great folks at 091Labs are hosting an Ubuntu Global Jam event at
their makerspace in Galway. On Saturday the 3rd of September a UGJ
event will take place between 10am and 6pm at the 091Labs makerspace
which is located on the 1st Floor, Tyrone House, 47 Eyre Square, Galway
(above Kennedy’s Pub).

This will be the first UGJ event to be held in Galway. The UGJ is an
incredible opportunity for the Ubuntu community to unite and work
together on a diverse range of topics with the dual goals of having fun
and improving Ubuntu. Everyone is able to contribute to the Jam, and
everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved. Curious about how
to make a real difference to Ubuntu? This is a great chance to make
that difference so if you are based in the West why not avail of this
great opportunity to join in!

The LoCo Directory listing for this Jam is located at:

http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/ubuntu-ie/1168/detail/

If you plan on attending this events we would appreciate if if you
would sign up for it at the above loco dir page (although this is by no
means obligatory and you should feel free to attend without signing
up)

If Galway doesn't suit you please try to keep 03 Sep 11 free as there
will hopefully be one or two more UGJ events around the country (these
have yet to be confirmed).

Good Luck to all attending the first Ubuntu Global Jam event to be held
in Galway!!

Kind Regards,

Mike O'Donohue,
