That's very interesting. He makes a point about some people having a
preference for the English version of modern technical terms.
I gave a list of 100 words from Ubuntu translation to a fluent Irish
speaker. He wasn't able to do most of them. Phrases relating to 'modules',
OEM, server, archive mirror, mount partition etc - he wasn't confident
about. If I was with him in person I could perhaps explain the terms a bit
better than I did in the spreadsheet I gave him.
There are some Irish speaking groups lurking around here in the west so
maybe I can find a few people to lend a cúpla focail if they find the
efforts worthwhile or interesting.
