bug fixes feedback for the UDS

I sent the last message to the list from the account I wasn't
registered from - apologies for that.

I'm a developer and I've submitted some patches here and there for
ubuntu and the mainstream kernel too but for the kernel I was kindly
guided by one of the maintainers there.

I'd just like a quick start guide of some sort that would go through
the lifecycle of logging the bug and sending in the fix. My main
interest is in getting laptops to work properly and I set up a wiki
for the samsung nc20 but I know the fixes posted there should also
make it back to the distribution itself. I just find it hard to know
what is the correct way of going about doing so from start to finish.
