Gutsy RC

Downloaded Gutsy RC  a few days ago and it's been pretty good so far.
I decided to format my hard drive and install a fresh copy, consigning
Windows to the small partition and firmly engraving Ubuntu as my
primary OS.

I had a number of issues with the internet for the first few days.
Download and load times were fine but DNS times were very slow in
looking up pages, though ping rates were fine and I'd no issues with
DNS on Windows.  Started using http://www.opendns.com yesterday and
all's been well since.

I was impressed with the graphics card driver compatability as I've
had problems with configuring drivers on Feisty and was forced to use
Envy to configure my drivers but Gutsy immediately configured them
this time which is a huge benefit.  I nearly gave up on Ubuntu in
April with frustration over drivers for my GeForce 8800.

I'm glad that I have broadband though because the updates are coming
quick and hard and I've probably downloaded the same size of files as
the iso itself within 3 or 4 days.

Looking forward to the full release tomorrow!
