[ubuntu-hardened] Other hashes in /etc/shadow?

AFAIK the only options for storing passwords when using PAM+shadow
(pam_unix.so) are crypt and MD5. Is anyone looking into increasing this?

E.g. OpenBSD uses blowfish supplied by pam_tcb. It seems this isn't
available for Ubuntu (or for that matter any of the popular distros, OWL
is the only one I am aware of).

Software is not manufactured, it is something you write and publish.
Keep Europe free from software patents, we do not want censorship
by patent law on written works.

Beauty is more important in computing than anywhere else in technology
because software is so complicated. Beauty is the ultimate defence
against complexity.
