aah ya es que dice que ese método ya no se usa,

entonces dale:

 vmware-installer -l

y allí te sale una lista de los productos de vmWare que tengas instalados.

y con
vmware-installer -u NOMBRE DE PRODUCTO

los desinstalas

ojala funcione :)
