[ubuntu-gt] PROBLEMA DE RESOLUCION DE PANTALLA

CUANDO ABRO EL X CONFIG ME APARECE LO SIGUIENTE, PERO EL PROBLEMA ES QUE CUANDO VOY A CAMBIAR LA RESOLUCION DE LA PANTALLA SOLO APARECE 800X600 Y 600X400:

hola!! haha! hazme un favor.. metete en terminal y teclea esto:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
y dime si el archivo que te va abrir esta vacio o no..
