Αυτή η αναφορά σχετίζεται πράγματι με το πρόβλημα.
Έκανα σχόλιο με νούμερο #21,

όπου ζητώ να γίνει έλεγχος σχετικά με το αρχείο /etc/default/keyboard

Για την εντολή setxkbmap, δε χρειάζεται να εκτελεστεί με sudo.
Αποτελεί ένα τρόπο για workaround (προσωρινή παράκαμψει του
προβλήματος).
Μια άλλη προσωρινή παράκαμψη του προβλήματος είναι η επεξεργασία του
αρχείου /etc/default/keyboard
