Για να είμαστε και δίκαιοι, υπάρχει το windows upgrade, αλλά από windows xp
σε windows 7 κάνει όντως format ("clean" installation):

Από Vista σε Windows 7 το upgrade γίνεται διατηρώντας τα ρχεία -- απ'όσο
λέει στη σελίδα τουλάχιστο. :)
