[Bug 27815] Sometimes the letter "pi" in greek is mixed in from another font

Comment:
Vera (the default font) has a peculiar character for Pi. 
As Vera has top preference in the fonts (see /etc/fonts/fonts.conf), no other font can override and fix. 

Possible solutions are
1) Can we remove Pi from Vera 
or
2) Can we put DejaVu on top preference instead?
