Blurred glyphs?

Dear All,
I am not sure if this has been mentioned. Some glyphs of DejaVu fonts 
appear to be blurred to some degree.
I am heard others (non-greek) complain about this at UbuntuForums.

The blurring is very visible with the Φ Ψ φ ψ letters.
Is this an issue with the hinting/autohinting?
