Hi there

I'm not a linux expert, just a user, but i believe the problem is
with your graphic card(s). probably the drivers. do you have same
specifications on your both pcs? from what you described it looks
like that ubuntu and your graphic card are not getting along well.
like you mentioned, reporting the problem would help for sure.

I'm running ubuntu-gnome on my lenovo g570 laptop, and before
that i have tested the OS on a vmware setup. there were no issues
with GUI stability at all.
Hello,

I am running the 64 bit version and an fresh install.
I experience a lot of problems, first when installing
the proper NVidia driver for mine Nvidia NVS 295
Quattro there are some problems with the graphics and
view. Switching back to the Nouveau driver no any
problem, so it seems that NVidia owns drivers fails to
work properly.

Every time there is an pop-up with the message there
is an problem occurred in......and must be closed or
restart again, more the 10 times the day is not nice.

So i hope that the next version will be more stable
and more tested then this version. Sometimes is mine
Ubuntu Gnome completely frozen nothing works then only
the shutdown on the front on the PC not nice.
I´ll send all reports to the developers so they can
learn from this and i hope they will. For me no reason
to switch to an another distro problems needs to be
solved and input from the users is important.

Up to the next stable version.

Greetings,

Marc
