    Indeed the various flavours exist to provide a non-default Ubuntu
    experience.  It's really too early to say exactly what will happen
    from a technical perspective, but I would expect whatever happens to
    be largely transparent to the end-users of Ubuntu GNOME.<br>

    We will evaluate the options over time, In the short term (13.10),
    we can stick with X if need be. Long term the future of KDE and
    GNOME is moving towards wayland, and I expect that is what we will
    use eventually. <br>

            question is what is gonna happen to Ubuntu GNOME flavour ? I
