Jeremy, no matter how I run ppa-purge I can't seem to get rid of this
one

Hit:14 http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3-staging/ubuntu
xenial InRelease

sudo ppa-purge [ppa:]ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging
sudo ppa-purge -o gnome3-staging

Therefore I must be doing something incorrectly.
