Giant red X obscures window close button, especially prominent on Firefox

Hi,
I just installed Ubuntu Gnome 16.10 64-bit, and noticed that the window
close button is obscured by a giant red X. I don't know why that is. I
tried adjusting button order from dconf-editor. Any ideas?
