As long as people refuse to read, such Qs will forever be asked no matter
how many times we keep repeating ourselves.
http://ubuntugnome.org/to-upgrade-or-not-to-upgrade/
Which can be found here by the way:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XenialXerus/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuGNOME#Upgrading_from_last_release
As for the technical side, anyone can easily compare between:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XenialXerus/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuGNOME#Features_of_Ubuntu_GNOME_16.04_LTS
and
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WilyWerewolf/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuGNOME#Features_of_Ubuntu_GNOME_15.10
So the argument of:
"Should I upgrade?"
"What is the difference between 15.10 and 16.04 LTS?"
and similar Qs ...
is really pointless and invalid.
The answer to all these Qs is one word: read.
There is another way the marketing team or others might consider to do to
help:
1. Create an info-graphic.
2. Create a video.
3. Write an article.
Since none of the above is available, the old school approach is to *read*
the release notes and compare it to the previous one manually. Sorry, I am
the only one who is maintaining the wiki pages and there is no way I could
make the world as perfect as one might think it is ... nothing is perfect
to begin with :)
As for bugs, same applied - nothing is perfect.
With each and every release, bugs will be there. NO WAY we can eliminate
all of these bugs for one simple and good reason:
6 months cycle is not long enough to get rid of all the bugs.
Above all, we have limited human resources.
Thank you!
