How do I authenticate irc nick from Gnome online accounts?

Hi

With 16.04 beta. How do I authenticate irc nick for irc? I tried with both
polari and empathy. But it did not work if I use my password. In advanced
settings there is "username" and "nickname". (Screenshot:
http://i.imgur.com/9dHUpY7.png)  What is difference? I think I am not
putting right value at right place.
