Totem can not play avi, crashes with sigsegv (Xenial)

I exactly did that. It still complains:

(gdb) backtrace full
#0  0x9c4bb21c in ?? ()
No symbol table info available.
#1  0x00000900 in ?? ()
No symbol table info available.


It is same as in bug report which was invoked by apport. Apport is supposed
to automatically resolve debug-symbol issues. But in this case it doesn't.
Anyway when I run: *apport-retrace -g /var/crash/_usr_bin_totem.1000.crash*

It gives,

Using host libthread_db library "/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1".

i386-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1 belongs to libc6 package which is again
already installed.
