Stuck mid login screen

You can press a key at first boot stage (Live), then you will see a menu
to select language and other options [F6]. Select one by one the special
options to boot with.

This can help you to boot with UG 14.04 but also to find if some option
is useful for next versions.
Try the same (Live) with UG 15.04
