Problem with fullscreen applications

This might be related to my problems with getting citrix to work properly on 14.04 ubuntugnome and 14.10 ubuntu with gnomeshell installed some time ago as citrix also uses full screen.
In my case when it did work the clicking events were verticallh offset with the applications seen on the screen.
