Call for a meeting (IRC/Hangout)

We stay with this system because it simply works. You see, the core members
of the team are spread around the world (from America to Australia), we
need a communication system that is open and simple to use at any time of
the day by anyone around the world. We have experience with this and we
know which communication systems work and which do not. I'm sorry man, but
you are not entitled to come here and tell us that the MO that has worked
for us for years doesn't work. Sure, hangouts and voice meetings in general
are very handy (and we use them from time to time when it's justified), but
it's impossible to have a voice meeting with more than 10 people at the
same time (hell, it's even a pain in the arse in a face-to-face meeting);
IRC works perfect in this matter:

   - It relatively destroys the time barrier. Any person can make the
effort to stay late or wake up earlier than usual and attend a chat; we
won't force any member to stay awake till 2/3 in the morning to have video
meeting (this is impractical and will drive people away from the project).
   - It allows anyone to engage in the chat; anyone with basic English
skills can participate in or even simply attend the meeting (alas, not
everyone here is from America, Canada, the UK, or Australia exclusively).

I'm not here to make waves or criticize.

But that's precisely what you have been doing over the past e-mails.
There's a huge difference between giving useful criticism as a new member
and just telling us we are doing things wrongly and when we refuse
your *advices,
*you plainly say we're going through the Küber-Ross stages of grief.
Really? I thought we were all adults here.

Cheers,
Alfredo
