Do you mean PackageKit itself (i.e distro-agnostic packaging system), that is currently implemented by aptdaemon in Ubuntu but we will be
switching to the upstream aptcc PackageKit backend, before transition to gnome-software.

or if you mean the old gnome-packagekit UI app, that has been dropped upstream, so will no longer be available.
