[Discussion] Ubuntu GNOME 101

Hi everyone,

Back in November 2013, I have come up with an idea and have registered new
blueprint:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntugnome-brainstorming/+spec/ubuntugnome101

and sent this email:

https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2013-November/001093.html

I've seen a discussion on Ubuntu GNOME Google+ area of two users were
complaining that Ubuntu GNOME Team care less about newcomers/beginners and
more.

I don't really need to repeat myself over and over again. I don't really
need to prove the otherwise but if anyone might insist, the blueprint will
say it all.

May I be extra clear and honest here?
Ubuntu GNOME HIGHEST Priority now is getting our first LTS release (14.04)
[1] up and running, period. However, if there is an urgent need to 'resume'
the on hold project, I don't mind at all. But, there is always but, I'm
afraid:

I do have tons of commitment within Ubuntu GNOME Team and outside the
community with many other projects. I would be a big lair if I will say
that I can lead that project now. Yes, the idea is mine and I'm very much
interested to take care of that project but sadly, I can't now. All what I
could offer is ideas and direction.

If someone is willing to be the driver of Ubuntu GNOME 101, please do speak
up :) feel free to contact me or reply this email.

May I remind you and insist that our focus must be the LTS release?

By the way, the idea of Ubuntu GNOME 101 came from:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/Projects#IamNewToLinux

I've had a discussion with someone on Ubuntu Forums who might be interested
to be the driver of IamNewToLinux Project and again, I can only offer help
and direction whenever needed.

You see, I do care for newcomers. Ubuntu GNOME team do care. Ubuntu
Communities in general do care. But nothing is perfect. People do need to
realize that. We're nice, kind and all but seriously, if someone fails to
understand the simple facts like: we're humans and do have real life...
there is nothing much I/we can do :(

Waiting for some replies if someone is interested ...

Thank you!

P.S.
If there is spelling errors, etc please forgive me, I am writing too fast
and didn't sleep well for a week or so now. Not to mention my grandmother
on the ICU for 3 days.

P.S. 2
This email will be posted on our social media channels. Maybe someone would
be interested.
