epiphany 'web' search

the epiphany 'web' web browser (one of the GNOME core applications) has the
feature available to search using duckduckgo.

unless &t=epiphany is specified at the end of the url, however, the browser
takes an extraordinary long time to display the results. i have tested this
on both ubuntu 14.04 and 14.10.

i seem to remember having problems *by default* with this within ubuntu,
although i'm not entirely sure...

is anyone aware of this? are there intentions to use duckduckgo by default
on all web browsers?

i admire your work, and the work of the community, and find the
distribution to be constantly improving in a rather satisfying way...

any answers would be great

happy holidays
