Hi there Mike,
Welcome to a totally different new world that once you have decided to walk
through its doors, there is no time to look back, you will always move
forward and guess what? congratulations, you have made the right choice :)
Thank you for choosing Ubuntu GNOME as your first step to contribute to the
Linux World.
>From your email, I can see a hunger to learn new things, a desire to
explore a new world, a will to help and support. Well, that is so kind and
nice of you!
Allow me to introduce myself:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad
And, let me tell you another secret :)
3 years ago? I was in your position. I must say, I had tough time trying to
walk into this world but despite the difficulties, I refused to give up and
walk away so I decided to go the extra miles and depend on myself and with
the great help from the community and from my friend and Sensei (Phill
Whiteside), here I am today, one of the most active contributors to Ubuntu
Communities. Are you interested? do you think you want to do the same? can
you imagine how fun that could be? do you have any idea how much you will
learn? well, congratulation again, you have already made the first step so
don't look back, walk with me/us and I/we shall show you the way until you
became on of those who contribute heavily and spread the word of Linux :)
I have created a Wiki Page called Ubuntu GNOME OneStopPage:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/OneStopPage
It has each and every link about Ubuntu GNOME.
Have a read and if you have ANY Q, please, do let me know and I'm at your
service!
Let's have some fun :)
