ou trouver split ?

bonjour

avec Mandrake, j'utilisais une apllication en console (split) pour 
découper des fichiers trop gros.
Je n'ai pas trouvé cette apllication sur Ubuntu (du moins avec les 
sources que j'ai défini).
J'ai bien trouvé une appli similaire (wavsplit), mais elle ne convient 
pas à ce que je cherche.

sinon (question parallèle) où trouver d'autres programmes pour Ubuntu, 
par exemple split (question sans doute très con, mais je suis novice 
côté Ubuntu) ?
