install sur portable ibm thinkpad X20

Donc, j'ai trouvé, je pense, où était le problème... Je résume la 
situation, ce qui pourra peut-être aider d'autres utilisateurs de 
portables utilisant un 3Com CardBus Ethernet adapter.

Modem Routeur ADSL externe Olitec SX200 (connecté à mon portable via un 
switch Unex Nextswitch SDO50s 10/100 ethernet)


Lors de la deuxième phase d'install, j'ai :

Si je désinstalle l'interface ethernet depuis la configuration réseau 
sous X, tout rentre dans l'ordre. Mais, dans mon cas, pas d'ethernet = 
pas d'internet... pas cool.

Donc, je vais voir ce que je peux trouver sur 
www.scyld.com/network/vortex.html. Et, c'est là que je bloque ! J'ai 
besoin d'un coup de pouce pour comprendre ce que je dois faire faire 
maintenant. Voici ce qu'ils disent :


"CardBus cards

The "3c59x.c" driver source supports the 3Com CardBus Ethernet adapters. 
The driver must either be compiled with pci-scan support, or be compiled 
with the -DCARDBUS flag. If using the -DCARDBUS flag, the resulting 
driver binary differs from the PCI version and may only be used with the 
user-level PCMCIA package. The suggested compile command is at the 
bottom of the file. Additional directions are included with the PCMCIA 
package."

Bon, mooi je ne sais pas comment compiler, et en plus, il me semble 
avoir lu que gcc n'était pas sur le CD d'Ubuntu. Je pourrais faire un 
apt-get install... mais je n'ai pas de connexion internet sous Ubuntu ! 
;-) En connaissant l'url exacte, je pourrais toujours télécharger gcc 
(mais je ne sais même pas s'il y a des dépendances à gérer) depuis 
Windows, mais je ne sais même pas comment faire ensuite avec ça sur mon 
disque dur... Je suis vraiment débutant, hein !... ;-)
