Asignar tarjeta de sonido

Hola es la primera vez que instalo xubuntu, me ha ido muy bien excepto porque no puedo asignar mis bocinas a que sean las de defecto en el sistema. Me explico.
Tengo una computador Sony VAIO WLT15E donde el he instalado el xbuntu versin 9.0
solo que siempre tomo por defecto las bocinas internas del pc en lugar de tomar las Bose que tambien tengo conectadas al computador via usb
Cuando ejecuto el comando lspci obtengolo siguiente:

el caso es que me identifica las siguinetes tarjetas:
Intel
Audio
SAA7134
PulseAudio
La que esta por defaul es la Intel y siempre que termina de arrancar esta en mute o silenciada. como puedo hacer para asignar que mi salida por defecto sean mi bocinas Bose
Las bocinas Bose estan asociadas al control pcm.
