dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.12-8-386

Pues bien ,

Tengo un problemilla, al ejecutar el 
# dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.12-8-386

obtengo el mensaje

Not touching initrd symlinks since we are being reinstalled (2.6.12-8.12)
Not updating image symbolic links since we are being updated (2.6.12-8.12)
Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub

Osea , que no me modifica el arranque, por que el paquete que corresponde a un 
núcleo 2.6.12-8.12, le han llamado 2.6.12-8-386. Siendo los dos el mismo.

Esto me pasa con Breezy , con Hoary no tenia ningún problema.

¿Alguien sabría como solucionar esto?
