Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,

I apologize for being a burden but, I'm not from Cairo, so if someone could give me directions to Offok Center or Rab'a Aladaweyya Mosque...I tried looking for them on Google Earth with no avail. Also, there aren't any streets mentioned which makes it harder...

I will be staying in "Ard AlGolf" in Asmaa Fahmy Street...and I can easily reach Makram Ebeid Street and the Arab Open University in Nasr City

So any directions from there, or just the street names will probably be of much help...

One last thing, is the second ubuntu-eg meeting confirmed? Will it be after the Embedded Linux meeting?

Thank you very much

2011/7/10 Islam Hassan <eng.islam_hassan@hotmail.com>

I'm sorry I can be with you on Fridays & Saturdays only because of my work.

About the sessions content, I think we'll go with Free-electrons' agenda, they give their sessions in 5 full-time days,

so if our sessions will be 2 hours long, I think we may need about 10 or more sessions depending on what hardware platform we'll get, when we'll get it & what parts of the course we'll skip/focus on.

Next time en shaa' Allah, we'll make sure everybody is familiar with the command line, talk about the hardware platform related stuff & install the needed packages on our PC's. We may add/remove items according to time left.

I'll upload the books I have later as I'm facing some problems with my laptop's charger, but this's the main book you may need:

Building Embedded Linux Systems http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596002220

Anas Emad didn't confirm with us about Offok yet, and I don't know where they are. As for Rab'a Al-Adaweya mosque, If you can get to Makram, take a micro-bus to the beginning of Makram (at city center & B Tech), then get another micro-bus to Rab'a, there are many buses and mini-buses that can take you directly from Makram to Rab'a. As for Ubuntu-Eg second meeting, I think it's canceled for now.
