Arduino is great as embedded system but I couldn't find a way to use it with linux. gumstix is nice but expensive. As for beagle board, they made a new version called panda board indicated before by Ahmed Kamal, but as I said, they're too expensive. the best alternatives I found so far are <a href="http://www.raspberrypi.org/">http://www.raspberrypi.org/</a> indcated by Ahmed Kamal and <a href="http://bifferos.bizhat.com/">http://bifferos.bizhat.com/</a> that I found in the community -> hardware page on <a href="http://free-electrons.com/">http://free-electrons.com/</a>.
