Thanks for the response guys. My issue has been previously that I do not
speak Arabic. I am a British qualified teacher working as the Director of
Educational Technology at Hayah Academy.
I think the software that Open Source software builds is the same as any
other software. We use GIMP instead of Photoshop. We use Scratch to
introducing programming skills. We use Audacity, Google Apps for Education.
These are just some of the software we are using.
I was thinking about having an Open Education Disc which has open source
software that is cross platfor (Apple, PC and Linux) Make this CD videly
avaliable and give free lectuers in how to use them. I think starting in
schools will allow a stronger foothold in higher education such as
universities.
