Personally I find his questions easy to understand...
He wants an alternative for an MS product called Lightswitch, or whatever...

However, I don't recommend that you use different products than your
colleagues, it's gonna be tough and at some point you might hate all Open
Source things at all just because you are not able to follow the class and
getting low grades. I already have many "Windows" images for study purposes
and I guess it won't harm to have one you too just to follow the class and
pass it. Except if there are many students supporting you and ready to make
some sort of petition for not using MS products or at least provide support
for alternatives... Except also if you are ready to make the fight alone
and I wish you the best luck then.
