Dear all Egyptian Linux users,
I'm Sherif Mosa, mobile applications developer, and embedded Linux
developer.
I want to share with you my project idea, hoping to find a group to be
concerned with it, working with me to finish the project.
Description:
Small Linux Distribution for ARM platforms having a GUI created with Qt
Embedded. This distribution will target small embedded projects which needs
a customized Linux OS with a small GUI, and it will run applications
programmed in C, C++ and Qt. It will be Open Source and free to use and
redistribute. It's Made In Egypt :) I hope MANARA could help others in
their work.
Till now, I have finished a lot of important things:
- I've gained the know-how of cross-compiling Linux kernels for different
platforms (ARM, PowerPC, .....)
- The system is now running with a small GUI programmed with Qt, and runs
on FrameBuffer
- I have tried the OS on X86 arch ( my Laptop ) and ARM arch, and it is
running very well.
Anyone likes that idea, and wishes to be a final Egyptian product,, feel
free to contact me at anytime.

There are a lot of more ideas, I just have no team to help me.
Best Regards,
Sherif Mosa
