- Define OpenSource:
1) Software that anybody can download.*
[Can't I have it on a CD? :'(]
*2) Edit its code and re-comiple it.*
[Ahhh I see, that's the reason why it's open]
*3) Some people, make their software closed source, so it won't be available
to re-download again.*
[Great news! I thought that many of the online software were closed source,
I was wrong all the time]
*4) When the software is closed, you don't have any support. But Microsoft
products, you get support "All The Way".*
[Obviously, since all Microsoft products are OpenSource, it's even by logic]
*
- Microsoft helps the Opensource community:
1) You can open any open docs on the "normal" office.*
[How can I tell if my office is normal or not? I think it's rectangular]
*2) If the file was ppt, you can save it as pptx to be able to edit it from
any xml editor.*
[WAAAW! I love this feauture]
*3) You can open any php site from windows server.*
[But why may I open a site from windows server? I mean, I usually use a PC
or laptop, not a server...]
[Ouch, you mean I can run PHP site on windows serever? Excellent! so finally
Microsoft wrote a PHP enterpreter for windows!]
*- Microsoft host Opensource projects over "codeplex"*
[He forgot to mention that there is no restriction over the prgoramming
language]
*- Microsoft donated 20 thousands of line of code for Linux*
[2 and FOUR zeros next to it, if you just want to try to imagine the
number... of classes]
*- The commenting section for the video is of course closed, because they
are talking about something open.*
*
- Long live Microsoft, you should be proud of your MSP they are doing an
AMAZING work, here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOfzpGQNfz4*
*- Are we going to do something? except talking...*
