Ubuntu 11.04 installation process

i read that gnome 3 will not be able to work well with unity until ubuntu
11.10 because unity is built on the gnome 2 packages and so installing gnome
3 updates these packages causing unity to crash although it was a response
to a bug report so i don't know if it is a reliable information or not ,
also about the applets i read that they replaced them with indicator applets
instead so no more gnome applets :( , as for the vote i haven't got in depth
with gnome 3 to really build an opinion on it  but i am loving unity :) .
