Why GNU/Linux
- Helps achieve nation wide technological independence someday
- Is free and legal to use
- Is open-source, enabling me to understand how it works, change how it
works, or hire someone to do it for me. I like to be in the driver seat
- Is main stream enough to not be too hard to use as a main OS
Why Ubuntu
- Strikes a good balance between being modern and functional, without
risking being fedora or rhel :)
- Focuses on a user polished experience
- Great community and ecosystem
- The "main" product is and will always be free, there is no separate
"enterprise" ubuntu
