Dear all
I'd like to thank the whole team for the effort done before and during the
last event, I really enjoyed it, especially the Qt session. I was also
interested to attend Java and GTK session, but I was told they are canceled.
Anyway, I have some feedback, which I hope it can help making future events
better:
1. *Sound*, some people suffered from not hearing the presenter well, of
course it is understood how hard it is to speak for 6-8 hours straight
repeating the sessions, but the audience attends the session only once. so I
suggest to bring some external speakers and distribute the sessions across
the hall to minimize interference.
2. *Visual*, some people couldn't see the presentation well, one way to
solve this is to have an additional screen and use it as dual monitor setup,
with both monitors (laptop and external) are back to back, and may be you
can borrow them from a lab or something during the event. Alternatively if
there are extra laptops, you can use VNC to do the same thing.
3. *Feedback channel*, it is important to ask people for feedback, people
have written their email in the registration, why not sending them a thank
you email and asking them to fill a short survey about the event? one way to
do this is using Google docs forms, it is very easy to build, can be
embedded in the email, and automatically collects the results in a
spreadsheet and analyze it.
Thanks again.
