Hello Mahmoud,
Welcome to the list ;).
I don't have a problem with anyone in the team becoming a leader.
However, the main problem that happened is that Sam went _on his own_
to the Ubuntu council, claimed he's a the group leader - which I
wouldn't mind if it was agreed upon by the rest of the LoCo team -,
ascribed the team's accomplishments to himself (despite of not being
involved the planning process at all), and even lied to the ubuntu
council by claiming all our material is in Arabic because "the LoCo
team members couldn't speak English" (a claim which is strongly
refuted by how this message is actually written).
What Sam did was a breach of transparency, and most importantly, very
dishonest. If he wants to extend the bridges back, pledge more
transparency, and regret what he has done, then I wouldn't have a
problem with him - or anyone else - being the group's leader.
That being said, let's close this issue, focus, and try to plan for
the coming period!
Regards,
Mohammed
